As a young man, Gerald Carvalho lived an unusually vigorous and adventurous life on Aquidneck Island. He fished, trapped and hunted. He built his own kayak. He met Presidents Eisenhower and Kennedy. After his U.S. Army service ended in 1969, he began farming and later fished the waters of Narragansett Bay to support himself and his family. In this video, Carvalho reflects back on his own wonderful Rhode Island life.
